Everyone wants to make money with it, everyone makes these same mistakes.
It's no surprise that the world sees ChatGPT as a "magic button" to make money online. But people make these same mistakes over and over, and it stops them for getting what they deserve:
The 20 mistakes to avoid when using ChatGPT to grow your business
As mentioned on the landing page for my “How to get clients with ChatGPT” landing page:
“The good news is anyone can quickly learn how to use ChatGPT.
The bad news is…anyone can quickly learn how to use ChatGPT”
Unlike say, coding an app or creating on the blockchain, ChatGPT does not require deep technical knowledge.
It’s easy to use, which is why it’s the biggest money-making opportunity of our lifetime.
However, that means *everyone else* can start using it as fast as you can.
This article will cover 7 of the 20 common mistakes people make when using ChatGPT to make money online:
(and how to avoid them):
1) The prompt you type in is not detailed enough
2) Accepting the first response ChatGPT gives you
3) Mixing topics in a single chat session
4) Asking ChatGPT to do complex math/calculations
5) Not giving examples of the type of answer you want (in terms of answer format and voice)
6) Not telling ChatGPT WHY you’re asking it (i.e. where the answer ChatGPT spits out will eventually be used)
Mistake 1)
Prompts (the text that you write into ChatGPT to make it do anything) not being detailed enough.
Most of the prompts available online are intended to be starting points, not finishing points.
So let’s say you want to impress a potential client by writing an intro/hook for a sales video.
You’d be forgiven for writing the following prompt:
“Hey ChatGPT, can you write me an intro/hook for a sales video. It’s for (this product/service) in (this niche). Target client is (this). About 100 words in total. Thanks!”
This would “do”
If you’re applying for a role, the text ChatGPT returns from the above prompt would probably do more than anyone else applying for the role if you were to send it to a client.
But if you want to make an AMAZING impression, get more detailed.
You *can not* put enough detail in.
The more the better!
So, here’s how to improve that prompt, via the “Writesonic” blog.
Write something like this into ChatGPT and you will get an amazing response:
“For this product, please write me an intro/hook for a sales video, which should be between 20 and 100 words long. Please keep sentences short - between 5 and 10 words in length. It should include questions that aggravate the pain potential customers feel ("do you feel.."), or benefits they want ("imagine if you..").
For this product, write me the second part of the video, which introduces the product. This should be between 20 and 100 words and should start with "presenting..." and will explain the benefits of the product and why it's unique. Please keep sentences short - between 5 and 15 words in length.
For this product, discuss the pain that a typical customer might feel unless they buy our product. This should be between 20 and 100 words and should start with "if you're like most..." and will explain why customers need the product to alleviate these problems and pains. Please keep sentences short - between 5 and 15 words in length
Write me a short introduction story (founder narrative) about the creator of the product, which should be between 20 and 100 words and should explain what the product does. Please keep sentences short - between 5 and 15 words in length.
List all the features of the product, which should be between 20 and 100 words and should explain the key elements of the product, and what it does. This should be a mix of benefits and features. Please keep sentences short - between 5 and 15 words in length.
For this product, list the core 3 steps required to use and get benefits from the product (step 1... step 2.. step 3...) This should be between 20 and 100 words long. Please keep sentences short - between 5 and 15 words in length.
Provide a short summary of what the product does, which should be very exciting, quickly listing all the key benefits. This should be between 20 and 100 words long. Please keep sentences short - between 5 and 15 words in length.
Provide a closing "call to action" which should explain that the product is limited (we are only selling it for a few days), and drawing attention to the pain they will endure if they do not buy it. This should be between 20 and 100 words long. Please keep sentences short - between 5 and 15 words in length
Explain how we have a money back guarantee, and we guarantee they will get all the benefits they want from the product or they get their money back. Please keep sentences short - between 5 and 15 words in length.
Write a simple focused call to action, summarizing the key benefits, emphasizing scarcity, and telling them to click the button and buy. This should be between 20 and 100 words long. Please keep sentences short - between 5 and 15 words in length.”
See how much better that is?
Do that 🙂
Mistake 2)
Accepting the first response ChatGPT gives you
So now we have a solid input after a detailed input, what can go wrong next?
Accepting the first response ChatGPT gives you.
You have unlimited turns to make its reply better, so don’t be lazy!
Likewise, don’t get disheartened if your *first* interactions aren’t life-changing. Remember this:
Basically, just re-ask it the prompt with more detail (i.e. the first point in this book ha), or just ask it to re-answer your prompt with a different answer, and you might well get an answer you love 🙂
Example: So if I was ghostwriting on Facebook for a client, I might use a prompt like this:
“Hey ChatGPT, Please send me 10 ideas for articles I can write.
Topic: How to grow your coaching business in 2023
For audience: Entrepreneurs, marketers, coaches, consultants
Content goal: Give the audience actionable ideas or a strategy that will encourage them to see my client as a knowledgeable authority in the space
Writing style: Clear, concise, conversational, controversial, down-to-earth, humble, experienced”
So let’s see what happens inside ChatGPT:
I’m not happy with that result. Check out how I tell ChatGPT to reformat:
Great!
Mistake 3)
Mixing topics in a single chat session
Because ChatGPT references the history of the chat session you write into, changing topics can mean worse results further down the stream.
If you have a new topic, start a “new chat” (click on the left of the screen) and start a new chat.
Mistake 4)
Asking ChatGPT to do complex math/calculation
ChatGPT4 (the latest version) is better, but if you’re “in that world”, use something like Wolfram Alpha to guarantee accurate results.
Mistakes 5) and 6)
Not giving examples of the type of answer you want (in terms of answer format and voice) and not telling ChatGPT WHY you’re asking it (i.e. where the answer ChatGPT spits out will eventually be used)
ChatGPT by default has a non-controversial, formal, polite, neutral, non-offensive, non-edgy voice.
People can tell when you use the default voice to create content.
Also, it’ll give you obvious results in the terms of the format you want. You might want bullet points, or to create a Twitter thread, or to display the results in a table.
So here’s an example, notice highlighted in blue the examples:
“ChatGPT! I would like to create a brand which reviews business/entrepreneur/marketing books in 60 seconds, ending each review with a score out of 10 for the book.
The script you make must have as many "value bombs" as possible.
It must start the first line of the script with a question to make people stop scrolling and read the review.
Some examples:
"Did Tim Ferriss "4 hour work week '' start the coaching/consultants craze? Here's everything you need to know about this classic back in under one minute"
"IS Anthony Robbins "Unlimited Power" the most legendary personal development book of the 1980's? Here's everything you need to know about this classic book in under one minute"
For all suggestions, you can use the format:
"Is (author name) (book name) (end sentence with a question)
Then next sentence should say something like "Here's everything you need to know about this classic book in under one minute"
Please start by picking 5 classic business/entrepreneur/marketing books and showing me those first two sentences:”
ChatGPT’s response is awesome:
My next prompt is:
Great, please select one of these and create the review. Make sure it's exciting and when we convert it to voice, it must be able to be read out loud comfortably between 45 and 55 seconds:
ChatGPT’s reply:
Me:
Hmm, don't include " In just 60 seconds, you'll learn the key takeaways from this classic book and see why it's a must-read for anyone who wants to build lasting relationships and succeed in business. "
PROMPT: “There is no review to "watch", what I am asking you to create *Is* the review :) so kill all this: "Watch this quick review and find out why 'How to Win Friends and Influence People' is a must-read for anyone who wants to up their game in the business world!"" , and instead use that time to review the book. Aim for it to fill 55 to 59 seconds this time too.”
PROMPT: “Please don't include the text at the end "(Note: The above review can be read out loud comfortably within the 55-59 seconds range when spoken at a moderate pace)" and please rate it out of 10 based on how useful it is to a beginner entrepreneur”
Perfect!
ChatGPT could create hundreds of these, and you have a review brand!!!
By telling ChatGPT that I wanted to create a review brand, it quickly got to an output I could use.

Getting all of that in front of them showds you have done your homework, and will increase the likelihood you get a reply/meeting massively.
Remember, you are one of the first to find out about these methods that I’ve been studying for months now. In a few months time? I predict most, if not ALL marketers will be using these methods - So get in now ahead of the others and build your business the easy way!

ChatGPT isn’t just a tool to make you money.
It can become your personal assistant, coach, planner, and much much more.
In this guide, I’ve compiled 25 ways to use ChatGPT that could seriously upskill your life!
In summary:
This is a revolutionary technology that can be pointed at an industry in the world & give you an unfair advantage.
Chat-GPT isn’t a “trick” or “industry secret”.
Chat-GPT can be applied to EVERYTHING.
Let’s say for instance, me and my agency wanted to keep the secrets to ourselves for sales copywriting using Chat-GPT.
Every business in the world needs sales copy.
Even if we wanted to, we couldn’t create a business to service every business in the world!
“Get rich quick” only works for a small number of people.
E.g. the people who got in early in crypto/NFT’s now own the majority of *all* crypto and valuable NFT’s in the world.
Likewise, dropshipping & dropshipping courses - Those who got in early took most of the money.
Again for those at the back!
Chat-GPt isn’t a “thing”.
Chat-GPT can be used on EVERYTHING.
You might want to help Dentists across America write better newsletters, social media copy, and ad copy - And you might be the first person to use Chat-GPT to do that.
You might want to use Chat-GPT to write SEO blog copy for small-to-medium sized businesses across the midwest USA. That’s a huge market but also may be one that not many people are thinking about, so you could own that niche.
Hence, Chat-GPT is not a “scheme” - It’s a tool you can use to make money with the industry you work in, or have an interest in.
This is the most useful product I have ever sold, and this entire Substack will transform to bring you ChatGPT/A.I. opportunities every day.
Grab my book bundle and let’s begin this journey together.
