How to get over 100 million views by reposting other peoples’ videos
Short-form video is the most powerful medium on the internet. Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube are pushing it hard as they try to take on Tiktok. Here's how you can win big:
We did 50 million views on one channel in six months. Here’s the method we used:
FOUR MAIN STEPS TO GROWING A CHANNEL BY REPOSTING:
RESEARCH / CHOOSE VIDEO / DESCRIPTION/CREDIT / POST
FIRST UP: RESEARCH
Get a list of keywords that your target audience would be interested in.
They have to be relevant!
Don't try and go broad and "viral" to get more views it won't work!
It needs to be niched down so that for the target audience they are like YES! THIS IS FOR ME!
Search those phrases on TikTok and start looking through videos
Some people say “search by most likes” or “most recent”
We think more recent videos may be more viral,
BUT there is so much garbage in "recent" search on Tiktok that we’ve found it doesn’t work as well.
I use the default search on desktop, these are older videos but have the most likes, comments, and are frankly the best ever videos in the niche so tend to work evergeen.
Side story:
Don’t be so quick to “move on” from “old” content.
If I could give you ONE piece of advice for running ads:
Find your organic posts that are already performing well, and run them as ads.
These will convert like crazy.
And they can run for YEARS, finding and converting new audiences every day, like those old-school infomercials that ran for a decade.
Example:
We worked with an influencer who, across their content house, did 2 BILLION VIEWS a month.
They were like “We need to keep making 100 videos a day or we make no money!”
We set up a test.
We took 10 of her best-performing videos from two years ago, and spent $50 across all of them in one day to re-boost them as ads.
The next day, those 10 videos paid out $1,000+ in midroll ad revenue from Facebook.
(The day before they had paid out next to nothing).
$50 in / $1000 out is a hell of a return.
That’s the power of PROVEN CONTENT.
For our agency clients, we grow their accounts using the exact method I’m telling you in this article - PROVEN HITS we download from Tiktok then repost (with credit to original content creator) to clients’ channels, causing fast growth on their platforms.
That brings us nicely to the next step…
PART TWO: FINDING VIDEOS TO POST
DO NOT take this part lightly - It affects everything.
So, once you know the niche keywords, the type of video you’re generally looking for has:
A “hook” sticker (the words middle/top of screen) that tells them what they will learn if they watch the video (“hooks” them to stop scrolling), and a video description at the bottom of the screen: for additional context/bonus “hook”.
Good videos look like this:
Also: Interesting visuals around it that make you wanna watch
(less important but can add stickiness) There are many viral videos without stickers, but they tend to be more in fun/entertainment, not when the product/service/idea solves a problem
To make sure the video is worth reposting, you can also watch the video and ask yourself
Did it actually do the thing the sticker promised?
Lots and lots of people just copy each other and give inaccurate or faulty advice
…also watch out for people who pitch their service more than give value 🤣🥲
If you feel it’s a good video, download it 📲✅
In one session you should try and download as many as possible, as the generic search function tends to change videos slowly, once you’ve grabbed them all they don’t change that fast so you’ll need to change the keyword;
I think there are about 500 in this main search view but some people have said there’s more on infinite scroll.
PART THREE: DESCRIPTION/CREDIT
You can also rewrite the original description if you feel you can make it more hook-y.
Tbh I think description is VERY IMPORTANT but my business partner doesn’t.
What I would say is when I’ve focused on rewriting my own description on a video I reposted, these have been many of the top viewed videos on those channels.
But it’s time-consuming.
Also don’t forget to always credit the original creator in the description too.
In our experience we’ve found creators are happy that we push them out to more people without charging them.
In our 100M views+ and thousands of posts, we have never had an issue with this.
PART FOUR: POSTING
Once I have all the links and the titles, I send them to my team to download and repost to the clients’ channels.
We post about 5-10 videos per day.
The person I know has grown tens of millions of followers using this method never posts more than five per day.
We prefer ten as it’s more chances to go viral, even if it’s more work, if it gets our clients accounts growing faster it’s worth it.
We've done more than ten posts in a day (once got 200,000 video views on the very first day!
BUT!
If you reduce the number of times you post per day you can get heavily punished by the algorithms, particularly on YouTube - We’ve had to abandon accounts this happened on as they never got back to the growth levels they had before.
This method will work on any platform.
If you think it won’t, take note the next time you see *any* video in your short-form video feed on Tiktok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, and ask yourself if that channel owns the copyright to it - These platforms allow anyone to post anything as engagement is all that matters.
Wanna work together?
We started using this method for growing accounts on YouTube, and have since moved to focusing on Facebook and Instagram so we can speed up growth using this method using Facebook and Instagram ads (which are the most accurate in the world, and have the best attribution even now)
We grow viral channels for our clients from zero to MASSIVE retargeting audiences in two - three months.
Once the channel has a massive retargeting audience, we run ads to convert that audience into money.
We can guarantee cheaper ad costs VS cold traffic in 100 out of 100 cases.
If you don’t use our method, you have to spend a big chunk of your budget randomly sending ads out to find the people interested in your niche, and you have to pay (steeply) for every person you add into your audience.
With this method, you have an audience of tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of people who know/like/trust the page/brand before you even post the first ad!
If you want to hear more about how we do it or are interested in us doing it for your company, reply to this email or DM me on Facebook Messenger or Instagram DM me and let’s talk!
If you have any questions on how the method works hit this button, I reply to everything myself!
This whole method is a rare example of why it's good to watch Tiktoks all day lol
