Last week, I was reminded of some truths I’ve seen over and over in my ten years as an entrepreneur.

I had launched a mastermind, and the class was full of people at different stages in their entrepreneurial searches: Hadn’t started a business right up to :”had run a seven-figure business”.

They were in the group to learn how to use ChatGPT to grow their businesses fast.

But I barely mentioned ChatGPT in the first live teaching session.

Instead, I focused on the OFFER.

Nothing is more unproductive than working on the wrong things.

In this article, I’ll show you how you can use ChatGPT to “failure-proof” your offer, and discover blind spots and failure points in your plans.

I’ve made over $100,000 in two weeks selling agency services.

I’ve had clients paying hefty five-figure monthly retainers and had my team to do all the work (I just showed up for the weekly client meetings on Zoom!)

But

It was flood and famine.

I never forensically thought about my brand and offer strategy, so successes were less consistent than I’d like.

Luckily for you, you have ChatGPT, and this article is about how to get you creating great offers, avoiding classic agency owner mistakes, and getting to clients with way less stress than I did while running my agency over the years.

As ever, your game with the prompts I’ll show you here is to take what I give you, and add your own detail to make the advice specific to you and your situation:

The key will be ChatGPT detailed information on your target market, services/products you are thinking about selling, your own skills/weaknesses and previous experience, you should ask it:

"Please evaluate my niche selection for my online business. What are the potential challenges and opportunities in this niche?"

Here’s how you might expand it to make it relevant to your new service offering (you change the bits in brackets and make everything else relevant to you, obviously):

I want to sell (this service) to (these target customers) in (this niche). I am strong in writing copy and social media but I am not so good at technical stuff, and being super organized.

I have no network in this niche so all outreach will be cold. Success would look like closing clients as soon as possible. What are the potential challenges and opportunities in this niche?

So to give it a concrete example I can show you in ChatGPT, here’s what I asked it (note I am using ChatGPT4 for everything so these are the most sophisticated answers I am showing you, you should use it too, it’s worth the money!):

I want to sell a “cheaper Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ad costs guaranteed agency service to Ecommerce companies making around a million dollars per year in companies selling physical products, digital products or services.

I am strong in writing copy and social media but I am not so good at technical stuff, and being super organized. Presume I have no network in this “higher ticket” niche so all outreach will be cold email.

Success would look like closing clients as soon as possible with them paying us $3,000 per month for the service, or three months upfront for $7500, along with a $500 setup and an optional upsell for us to run their conversion ads for them, as sling as the basic service where we build them a massive audience on Facebook and Instagram.

What are the potential challenges and opportunities in this niche?

Here’s what ChatGPT replied:

Damn! ChatGPT didn’t need to kick my ass that bad lol!

But you can see how accurate, valuable, and undeniable this is.

Could easily have spent hundreds (or thousands) on a business consultant to give you similar advice.

With ChatGPT it’s basically free!

AND your ego will not get in your way.
Here’s the thing: I’ve been coaching entrepreneurs since 2015.
It’s very tricky to give people bad news without their ego being involved.

And as a business coach, you have a lot of “bad” news.
New businesses need a lot of help.
New entrepreneurs don’t know what they don’t know.
And at the same time, you have to be so mentally strong to overcome stress that it can be hard to accept the bad news coming at you.

Small example: My best friend in Hollywood wanted to start a tech startup/influencer company.

They have no experience in the entrepreneur field.
I want her to win as I care about them.
After a few conversations where they “schooled me” with bravado and “you don’t know anything about business” I felt like giving up trying.
They could not take on my advice- their ego just couldn’t accept it, I asked difficult questions she had no answer for.
Now, this is an extreme example but trust me, we all do it.

We want to be right, as it’s so painful to be wrong.

I like to think after ten years in the game I can take on negative/aggressive feedback but I too react defensively, it’s natural.

BUT

You will not need to react defensively when you use ChatGPT.

The reason our ego defends us is, historically, if you are seen as “wrong/different” or make mistakes, you might be expelled from the tribe, which could literally mean death, so the ego developed to protect us from this fate.
So when a human is telling you your idea sucks to your face, that “fight or flight” response comes in and you defend yourself.

With ChatGPT, you can be vulnerable, you can ask infinite questions without appearing stupid (the main reason people don’t ask questions they really want to know the answers to).

Don’t sleep on this! ChatGPT has more knowledge than any business coach in the world - use the right prompts and they will make you think about things that could TOTALLY WRECK YOUR BUSINESS if you don’t address them.

Similar to this, another prompt from my guide (you should put this in the same CHatGPT thread as the above questions as ChatGPT will remember everything in the thread and give better answers):

"Here is my go-to-market strategy. Can you provide feedback on its effectiveness and potential areas for improvement?"

To expand that, here’s the next thing I asked ChatGPT4:
I plan to go to market by gathering contact data from my target market, and taking an omni-channel but targeted approach to get in front of them.

It will look like this: On day one I send them a cold email with a title like “Are you interested in cheaper ad costs guaranteed” and the body of the email will say something like “Hey {{firstName}}, We’ve developed a brand new way to help you reduce your Meta ad costs guaranteed or your money back.

Hit reply if you’d like to find out more. Yours, Vin” The intention would be that they reply and we send them a link or a few paragraphs on how we do that, and a link they can book a meeting with us to discuss it.

Ideal situation is they book a call within 48 hours and we close them on the phone. Can you provide feedback on its effectiveness and potential areas for improvement?

ChatGPt replied with this:

If I were to continue this thread, I would ask it to keep its cold email template shorter, but you get the idea.

You get the idea with how to expand the prompts by now, I hope :)

This is solid, FREE, advice to make sure your offer and go-to market plan are solid.

One problem with this cult of personality is that whoever you listen to will give you advice based on their own biases.

The internet marketer who has run Facebook ads will tell you that’s the way.
The entrepreneur who has built a strong personal brand through content will tell you that’s the best way, etc

Well, it was right for THEM, but for you?

I have rarely advised anyone I’m coaching to use Google ads.

They’re obviously the most powerful advertising method IN THE WORLD next to Facebook ads, but other than parroting a few case studies I’ve heard, because I’ve never used them the way I have Facebook ads, I rarely bring them up. That’s a bias. Every coach has them.

ChatGPT will give you impartial advice.

Keep asking it “how could my idea/project/strategy fail- list as many reasons as possible” - some you can ignore because you feel confident in your strategy, but you may find some which will stop your service from being dead on arrival 🙂

So with ChatGPT’s guidance, you have a service that your target customer needs, and have a go-to market strategy that has a good chance of success!

You have no idea how valuable this is VS just “guessing” and going on a “feeling”.
