Simon Lovelle
Grew his coaching business for personal trainers from zero to $1million in just 18 months.
I really enjoyed this talk: Super practical; A great read for anyone building a coaching/info business
Starts with a personal humiliation story of being called gay in showers at school…Was then Bullied, punched, and kicked throughout school.
Advice: If someone recommends a book, buy it instantly. Success is all about taking instant steps without thinking. Don’t delay.
Thoughts create beliefs
Who do I want to be? It is your duty to pull other people up. Share your story
Get into feeling good before you do anything each day.
If you want anything in life, put it in the universe. Don’t just have the information, action it.
You’ve got to be good at what you do
Write down all of your skillsets:
“What am I amazing at/what would I like to be amazing at”
“What products could I generate”
What you’re great at, that can change someone’s life. That’s the currency.
Was published by Harpercollins. To make a book: Create 30 podcasts.
Get those podcasts, that’ll be an hour long, then go to castingwords.com.
Take the transcriptions to Upwork and put them in a book.
Take those edits. Make actionable steps.
99 Designs = Get a great cover designed.
Go to createspace and go on Amazon.
They dropship the book and it gets printed.
The book can generate leads, can put on website.
Your mastermind comes from getting results on the frontend. (i.e. where clients enter your funnel)
Mind map all the ways you can create information: Podcasts, blogs, the internet is full of ideas for content.
Write articles like “How to be an amazing speaker”, etc
Drive those clients to a strategy application. You only want to work with amazing clients.
#1 rule of 2017: No drama: From clients, from relationships. Drama Llama (i.e. don’t take everyone’s money- If it’s painful on the onboarding call, say no to them, or jack your price up as a “moron tax”, so you can remember when it goes wrong why you're putting yourself through it)
Once they fill out the application, jump on a phone call. Find the pain, find out where they want to go from.
What value are you adding. What transformation. (You must know this!)
Put them in a Facebook group, drip feed content.
Start off with something cheap, then jump up in $500 increments.
Drive them via training, and you don’t have to do this one-to-one.
Group coaching model: Everyone’s learning from one another. They have to fill out an accountability form each week or they don’t get on the call. This allows you to keep tabs on their progress, and spend time on the ones that may have problems. Problems= they will likely cancel
On the accountability form, ask them:
What are your wins for this week?
What’s working for you?
How much money did you bring in this week?
>> Use this to find who’s a red flag to find out who’s not happy.
Find people who can be upsold to your mastermind.
Start to bring in coaches to do the work for you over time, so they get a one-to-one every other week. This adds accountability.
Understand the objections.
Secret of building a sales team is the management of the sales team.
Can be very scaleable very quickly.
Infrastructure: 5-7 sales people needed for $1 million a month.
He currently creates digital products, and may do a university.
Potential customers MUST have seen a few posts before they speak to you, as they’ll be pre-sold.
Build out scripts for sales people.
Richard Branson: I’ve gotten really good at finding people better than me. Step away and do what you’re best at.“
“Many of you listening to this will be doing everything on your own. Stop doing this”. Great quote!
Build out the timeline.
He charges a few thousand dollars for 8 weeks.
His company is on course to make a million dollars a month.
They are always wary of not servicing the client.
Ask the question every day “How can I get better results for my clients?”
When you improve the leader, you improve their business.
He invests $250k in his own personal brand every year.
Ask the question “Where am I leading people to?”
Question from audience: How do you show people when you’re not an influencer?
Build your business on the results you get. Take screenshots from your group, blur out their name. When they say they get big results, you send it to a “journalist” who writes it up for your blog.
When people see results after results they have to use it. Constantly celebrate the wins.
Do a Facebook Live where you talk about people’s results.
Put your best shit in the first module.
Goal with any client is to get a result fast.
If they make their investment back in four days, they will be very likely to re-subscribe.
