This ad type is converting like crazy. But 99% of advertisers aren’t using it.
NOTHING is converting better in terms of a "new ad format" in social media ads. But most companies haven’t adapted. Here's the 7 steps to a great short-form video ad:
1.Tell them WHAT THE VIEWER WILL GET if they watch the video immediately with Text over the intro of the video, or the whole video
2. Immediately deliver on that promise with the content in the video, no fluff or long intros - we don’t care who you are or what you’ve done, just give us what you promised or we’re scrolling over
3. Subtitle for the WHOLE VIDEO.
On Fb and IG a lot of people still have sound off, even on Tiktok some people don’t scroll with sound.
4. Edits every 2-3 seconds.
Even jump cuts or zoom in and out on face if the video can’t have too many edits.
5. Feature relevant b-roll cuts as other footage if trying to give a “high quality” feel (luxury brands, etc)
Generally speaking, just the person speaking to camera, but worth trying to break up the one face on screen if brand has a perception of high quality.
6. PROOF sells best.
Screenshots of $, testimonials from previous clients or Tiktoks of people opening the box of the product or using the productetc.
7. The ONLY thing they should be able to do is buy the thing mentioned on the other page
Do NOT send them to your “website” where they can click “home, blog, FAQ, products, privacy policy” etc - People will get confused and leave.
Send them from Tiktok to a squeeze page where the ONLY thing they can do is buy the product featured, or leave.
