ChatGPT is getting people laid on Tinder (and what this means for you)

Pro tip: See the world the way it is, not the way you'd like it to be.

Last year, Tinder was in the top 10 highest-grossing apps (worldwide) in the App Store for the USA, and worldwide.

It was also on of the highest-grossing apps in the five years before 2022.

…It is a rare fix that an app can fix so many huge pain points:

Loneliness

Lack of connections

No real-life friends

Not being alone if you’re traveling

It’s no wonder it makes so much money: Very few services fix all of the above.

Recently, companies have been popping up offering to use ChatGPT/A.I. on your dating apps, to get lonely people more dates.

Anecdotally, they appear to already be making significant revenues.

The consensus seems to be there are three problems these ChatGPT-powered dating app management services solve two main problems:

1)People being scared to send the first message

1. (I’m living in Budapest (Hungary) right now and both my flatmates use Tinder to meet girls. Girl after girl has told them how many guys match with them and never message them.
   
   …Fear of rejection, fear of failure, whatever it is…the bot dating service has no such qualms.
   
   It’s job is to send the first message, and to measure which messages get the most replies (Split testing) and optimise over time to improve the number of people (you) are talking to to get (you) more dates

The second problem is…saying the wrong thing.

One of my best friends had never been on a date until after his 30th birthday.

He got deep into “how to Tinder” experts and sent me some of their guides (If you want to read them, reply to this link, they are almost scientific in their methods

- If you like how effective my ideas are in making money online, these guys are the dating equivalent-been doing it 10 years, know what works and what to avoid etc)

So

One of the main messages dating coaches advise is:

1. Stick to a script, and get their phone number as soon as possible.
   
   One script both my flatmates use involves a one-liner as first message to get their attention, then asking what they do for fun, what part of town they live in, with a third message asking for their phone number (email me if you want the script I’ll send you what they use)
   
   To give you an example of why you DON’T want to be chatting away, throwing in zingers, etc, one of my flatmates told me a story of a girl he dated:
   
   “Whenever I meet a girl I ask to see their inbox as I love to know what I’m up against. This girl had hundreds, maybe THOUSANDS of tinder messages and Whatsapp messages.
   
   Looking at all the attractive guys, the guys offering lavish gifts or holidays, I was shocked.
   
   I asked her “why did you choose me? I’m just a backpacker passing through your city. Why don’t you go on a date with any number of these guys?”
   
   She said “I don’t know, they’re all so great I’m scared I’ll ruin it if I meet them. Some of them I really like but get put off by something they say and don’t want to meet them after that. You got to the point when you texted earlier today, so here we are”
   
   They…had a nice time that night 🤭

   
   
   The learnings here?
   
   1) You can say too much, and

2. Saying the wrong thing, even once, can mean you don’t get a date

 There are obviously other parts to dating apps/getting phone numbers/getting to dates, but, like many things, ChatGPT has been trained on almost all of the internet’s data, and in a service like the Tinder dating one too, it’s gonna learn what works and optimise for it to give people better results.

I’m using dating as an example to make a point about ChatGPT.

As humans, we make obvious mistakes that we don’t realise.

I’m sure people will read this in rage and be like ‘JUST BE YOURSELF, DON’T USE A ROBOT TO TALK TO GIRLS OH MY GOD”

Buuuut…Easier said than done.

Loneliness is a problem that literally kills people.

If ChatGPT can help you solve that problem, it’s worth putting your ego aside for and seeing the world the way it “is” rather than how you’d “like it” to be.

Likewise, many of you reading this still don’t believe in the power of ChatGPT (or you’d be using it way more already!)
